What you need

Step by step

  1. Connect all players, the mixer and the computer by cable. Switch Wi-Fi off on the computer.

  2. Check the player numbers: 1, 2, 3, 4, each only once. The mixer channel of each player should match its number, otherwise ON AIR shows the wrong deck.

  3. Start LJ Link → Search automatically. Within a few seconds every player appears, the mixer shows up in the Mixer tab.

  4. Load a track. Title, cover and waveforms arrive; with several players this can take a few seconds.

Info

LJ Link joins the network as a virtual player with its own number, like other Pro DJ Link programs do. It only listens and sends no sync, master or tempo commands.

Problems

A player appears twice
  • Wi-Fi and cable in the same network: switch Wi-Fi off.
  • Two players with the same number, or LJ Link started twice.
  • Virtual adapters (VPN, Parallels, VMware, Docker): switch them off.
“No track loaded” or no waveform
  • Update to LJ Link 1.4.1 or newer.
  • Track from a rekordbox export? Streaming and CD have no data.
  • rekordbox on this computer? Quit it.
Yellow note “Beat port 50001 is in use”

rekordbox, Beat Link Trigger, SoundSwitch or a second LJ Link listens for beats. Close it and search again. Until then positions are estimated.
